I was able to get out for a few hours last night and was able to use my DuClaw beer tasting membership to full advantage. I got a free t-shirt.
But I also sampled the beer of the season, a Weizenbock (wheaty bock beer) called Mayhem.
Appearance: Deep Brown color with a strong head on the top.
Smell: Little banana and even something that had a candy or bubblegum quality to it. Anyway it was very sweet.
Taste: Nice bite at the end that calmed down after repeated glasses. Spoiler Alert (I liked it)Strong that a Hefe as it should be the alcohol did not overpower the taste.
Mouthfeel: Smooth and refreshing. I thought about ordering the hoppy Hellraizer to clean the palate but couldn't draw myself away.
Drinkability: High alcohol at 7.5% but after the first glass it just kept getting smoother. Very easy to drink.
B+
I like most of DuClaw's seasonals and this was one of the better ones probably tied with Euphoria (Toffe Nut Ale) as my favorite. So go out and get a Growler's worth.

Thank you, Matt, for your continuous beer reviews! I've been a fan of DuClaw's brews and have many a t-shirt. Have not yet tried the Mayhem, but I'm looking forward to it....
